A little about myself. I live in the Atherton Tablelands near Cairns in Queensland, Australia. I also have the priviledge of being a mother of two lovely boys, well you could say young men! (But there still my boys if you know what I mean!) I love life, people, personal growth, stained glass, art, painting, the beach, the sea, music, movies, health, and just about everything except for housework. I appreciate everyday and every little thing, the birds twittering, my crazy interactive cat, which is named puss, because I don't remember what we named him when we first bought him, my dog that really digs it's heels in when I take her for a walk, she would rather smell the roses, hmmmm should take a note from her book!

And I am really concerned about our environment, can you believe how much pollution there is? And all this has really happened since the industrial revolution! In the early 1800 the motorvehicle started to take off, we have come along way in such a short period of time. Click Here for 10 simple suggestions to help our environment.

I started stained glass about 20 years ago, I attended a TAFE course and did half of it (as the teacher took so long to get around to her students, she had a great time socializing! But I was so impatient then, I headed home and read books and talked to others and went on from there. Eventually I had the priviledge of working for a methodical and excellent stained glass artist...Bill Mahoney. I have taught at TAFE for 3 years, which I loved, it was so wonderful seeing the delight and fulfilment students felt when they proudly finished their works of art! And have been a member of a co-op in beautiful Montville on the Sunshine Coast.

Photo below was in my Studio in the N.T. Australia, my favourite hideaway! Notice the pin board behind, I would pin up all kinds of pictures to inspire! And just the yummy colours of glass itself would cause ideas to flow!

About 10 years later I had two books published. You may have seen them, the first was "Leadlights for Lampshades and Mirrors" and the second was "Art Nouveau Lampshades and Mirrors". Both were very popular, and as they are out of print, the patterns from them are included on this website. You can still buy the second book if you are lucky at Amazon.com. There are more great patterns here so browse through, and many more great ones to come!

You may have heard on the grapevine that I have had breast cancer in the last year, so please check our the "Your Health" page, we really need to look after ourselves, we only have one life, lets enjoy it!

SUGGESTION

So that you may keep your patterns in order, buy a manilla folder and glue this page on the front. Within the pattern you purchase is a photo, pattern and instructions print these out and place in your folder.
